Part of the Autumn Days of Art – Varna
Gallery33 is pleased to present the exhibition “Pensive Water” by artist Nikolay Petrov.The exhibition is part of the Autumn Salon of Arts in Varna, organized in collaboration with Varna Municipality, Directorate of Culture and Spiritual Development.
From the artist:
“Pensive Water consists of paintings created over the past four years. I painted them entirely for myself, like a diary — as if to remember the moments, experiences, and feelings. I healed through painting; it helped, it synthesized, it clarified, it summarized all those introverted mind games that I turned into artifacts.”
Biography
Nikolay Petrov was born on January 31, 1980, in the town of Silistra, Bulgaria. He graduated from Nikola Y. Vaptsarov Secondary School in his hometown, specializing in Fine Arts.
In 2007, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy and Semiotics of Fine Arts from Sofia University.
In 2009, he joined the Kardzhali Artists’ Group, and in 2016 became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, Painting section.

2005 – Participation in a Sofia University exhibition marking the 15th anniversary of the Semiotics and Pedagogy of Fine Arts program.
