This remarkable collection has been assembled over several decades by the renowned Austrian entrepreneur and art collector Herwig Hadwiger (1945–2021). It represents one of the most significant compilations of Bulgarian art to return from Austria to its homeland.
The exhibition features over 200 works by prominent Bulgarian artists such as Asen Zahariev, Bogomil Zhivkov, Vasilka Moneva, Valentin Slavchev, Vasil Stoev, Vesko Velev, Vesko Ivanov, Veselin Nachev, Georgi Bozhilov – Slona, Georgi Kovachev, Georgi Stoyanov, Georgi Radulov, Georgi Baev, Dolores Dilova, Dimitar Cholakov, Dimitar Voynov, Encho Pironkov, Ivan Obretenov, Ivan Slavov, Yordan Kissiov, Krasimir Kolev, Marin Markov, Nikola Terziev, Nikolay Yanakiev, Nikifor Tsonev, Rumen Chitov – Kasho, Svetlin Rusev, and others.
