Boyan Yanev is a native of Varna and a graduate of the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, majoring in Illustration. He is the illustrator of 27 books published by Steno, Knigomania, Ciela, Aspekti, Slavena, Zahari Stoyanov, and Galaktika publishing houses.

He has organized 24solo exhibitions and has participated in 17 international exhibitions and 38 group exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad. These include painting and graphic art exhibitions, as well as modern art auctions.

The artist has received numerous awards. Among the most notable are: First Prize at Arteborgo Gallery in Rome (2017), First Prize at the Historical Park International Competition, and participation in exhibitions in Austria, Germany, and other countries.

Boyan Yanev has created numerous complex figurative compositions in oil painting with historical themes. However, in the present exhibition, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy his drawings executed in tempera technique.

Gallery 33 presents the exhibition “Journey Beyond Infinity”, inspired by myths and flights of imagination. Through the techniques of pastel, tempera, and pencil, the artist constructs a poetic world of colors and forms, where the sense of time dissolves into the delicate boundary between dream and reality.

Among the works, particular attention is drawn to the drawings “Matinee,” “Ancient Reverie,” “Pegasus,” and “Euphoria,” each revealing a different aspect of this inner journey—from quiet morning contemplation to the pursuit of spiritual elevation.

“Journey Beyond Infinity” is an invitation to the viewer to step beyond the visible and immerse themselves in the realm of free imagination.
